Giant Clam Improv Collective’s mission is to create a trusting and daring space for
Greeners to collaborate with one another in the style of improvisational performance!
Improv can be therapy, theater, a ritual, an experiment, a protest; it is as limitless as our
imagination. This work allows us to connect with our sense of play, activate flow states, commit
to the moment and liberate our truest potentials.
As a collective, we strive to work together to make Giant Clam possible; there are a range
of ways to be involved and we seek to support everyone to feel empowered as a player and as a
leader. Giant Clam is open to all; those who have done theater or improv, those who haven’t, as
well as those who create across all mediums.
Improv is about the process, so this club focuses on growth and connecting as a group.
We believe that our voices and lived experiences are powerful tools for dismantling oppression.
One of our goals in working together is to generate entertainment that is meaningful and can
reach a wide audience. Meet new people, laugh about ridiculous scenarios, address real life
issues, propose ideas, and create on the spot!
