This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to our neighbors in the Americas through the lenses of history, social justice and popular culture. Students will acquire a basic understanding of the Latin American region with a focus on key historical periods, cultural diversity and modern challenges. In their analysis of modern challenges, students will consider the interrelationships between social, cultural, political and economic factors.
In addition to in-person meetings, still will have approximately 4 hours of asynchronous work to complete each week.
