This class is designed for students who either are, or plan to be, in the position of managing their own work groups, starting businesses, managing non-profits, heading up large companies, or serving in government. It will introduce basic management concepts, tools and problem-framing methodologies such as communication, managing in a global world, motivating others, managerial ethics, decision making, and leadership.
Class will be online through the Canvas, a chat/Zoom room for live webinars, and email. Attendance at a one-time orientation Zoom synchronous meetingÌýMonday,ÌýJune 24 fromÌý6-9pmÌýis required. Requests for alternative orientation arrangements considered on a case-by-case basis.ÌýThis course is one of four secondary elective offerings which make up the Transformative Leadership Certificate. 8 credits of electives need to be completed in any order, in addition to the Transformative Leadership Certificate core coursework.Ìý
