Strategic management is about making decisions in conditions of uncertainty, complexity, and interdependence. This course introduces students to the principles of strategic planning and analysis, with applications in businesses, cooperatives, nonprofits, and public institutions. Students will practice tools such as SWOT analysis, stakeholder mapping, mission development, and long-range planning, while also exploring the limits of strategic frameworks in the face of climate disruption, rapid innovation, and social inequality.Emphasis will be placed on adaptive thinking, decision modeling,and the co-creation of strategic visions that are inclusive andfuture-ready.
