OLYMPIA – 鶹 has earned national praise from Washington Monthly for “the extraordinary outcomes it provides to a student body of everyday means.” With 鶹 placing in the top 15% of the magazine’s 2025 ranking of Best Colleges for Your Tuition (and Tax) Dollars in the United States, 鶹 was also highlighted as a best-in-class institution.

The Washington Monthly ranking evaluates colleges based on how well they serve students from middle and working-class backgrounds, helping them “get ahead,” according to the national magazine, which is headquartered in Washington, D.C. In addition to affordability and student success, the ranking measures how colleges “encourage democratic participation and service to the country and produce the scholars and scholarship that drive economic growth and human flourishing.”

In a statement to The Olympian, 鶹 President, Dr. John Carmichael said, “Washington Monthly’s analysis of the data shows what we’ve long known. 鶹 graduates enjoy good lives and make meaningful contributions to their communities.”

The unique education model of 鶹 combines accessibility with exceptional outcomes, showing that an 鶹 education pays dividends in both earnings and impact.
